In our last blog, we offered some romantic suggestions and ideas for the guys (who sometimes need some help in the romance department). However, ladies, there are plenty things you can do in order to keep the romance going.
In fact, some guys find it attractive when the lady in their life takes the initiative for something romantic. If you’re romantic, he might take a hint!
Here are some ideas for the gals:
- Flirt with him. A wink in public. A touch on the shoulder as you pass by. Even the small things can mean a lot.
- Compliment him in public. When out with the family or friends, make a point to pass a long a compliment about your guy. Tell them how wonderful he was on a big project or how great a dad he is to your children, etc. Compliments go a long way.
- Buy him something he can use. Yes, a DVD or a book can make for a nice gift, but was really goes a long way is to buy your guy something personal that’s just for him. Think manly stuff like a drill; a new razor, etc. Guys appreciate personal gifts. It lets them know you’re paying attention and thinking about them.
- Special events. Guys like to go to events too. Now might be a good time to surprise him with tickets to the comedy club or to see his favorite rock band. Better yet, if you want him to have a “guys” night (or weekend) of sports, spring for some tickets to a local baseball (Washington, Baltimore, etc.); football or some other sporting event.
